So I saw over at TechCrunch video site Grouper got aquired for a mere $65,000,000!
Damn, is it me, or is that a crapload of money? That’s cool and all, but how many video sites do we need. I already waste enough time on youtube and google video, and whatever else.
Okay, I don’t think anyone will argue the above statement in the title. This guy has way too much money. But wait, how much is too much? Enough to buy a basketball team? Enough to give away a bunch of money on some tv show (whatever happened to that by the way)?
How about enough money to be the first person to have a $50,000 T.V.? This is a monster. A 103 inch plasma sonofa… They say at Gizmodo this thing is the size of a queen mattress. Now come on, isn’t that a little ridiculous?
I’m perfectly happy (well, of course I wouldn’t mind a nicer t.v.) with my 27in hand me down from my sister (thank you, by the way).
But hell, if I had money coming out my wazoo, I guess maybe I’d try to get one of these bad boys too.
Ok, so I just came across this one. I’m still trying to figure out how this is going to help me more than tv.yahoo.com does. But hell, with $8,000,000 they must be doing something right.
Okay, so we are renting a decent house for a decent price for the location. We’re fairly happy, although of course we wish we owned the place.
Now, down the street we saw a new housing development open up so we checked it just to see what was going on. For a freaking duplex the prices start at a whopping $900,000. Believe it or not, in the brochure, there were instructions on what to do if you wanted to pay cash! WTF? If I had so much money coming out my wazoo, I would not want to live in this neighborhood, let alone pay cash for it.
I have no idea if peoople actually do this or not. If so, they definitely have money coming out the wazoo.

August 14 BusinessWeek. The cover blurb reads: How This Kid Made $60 Million In 18 Months. Digg.com’s KEVIN ROSE leads a new brat pack of Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs. — The writers grant Kevin rock star status. Oh, yes, they talk about other young web luminaries as well.

I finally found it. This must be close to the funniest commercial I’ve ever seen. This guy has so much money, he’s in the emergency room with money actually coming out of his wazoo. Too damn funny.
